About Us
About Me First and foremost I am a rat lover, and all of my rats are my pets. I first fell with rats in 1996. I love rats, and have studied breeding and genetics for several years to get to where I am now. Each litter is loved from before birth. Every baby gets loved daily and all of my "breeders" are pets. I raise each and every litter personally. I only breed a few times a year and always with goals in mind. I keep in touch with every adopter before & after the adoption. I expect to hear about the rats that I place. I do hope that they live only the best lives. I track each and every rat that I own/breed/place. I keep detailed pedigrees - because I only want to place healthy rats. Our rattery prefix is R4. I cannot guarantee babies to each and every person who contacts me. I reserve the right to tell an adopter no if I feel they are not going to be a good home. I also reserve the right to give preference to certain people - such as previous adopters who have stayed in touch. Also, and something I cannot stress enough - I cannot guarantee babies to each and every person on the waiting list. I do my best - and those who don't get from one litter will always be offered higher positions on future litters. I truly admire those breeders who spend their lives dedicated to improving the fancy and trying to breed only the best of health. In my opinion a successful breeder works to produce the most wonderfully loveable and healthy babies. I only work with breeders who I feel are working towards these goal. I do not sell cages, but am happy to recommend cages to fit one's needs. About Rats as Pets
If you are looking at this page then chances are you either already know rats make great pets, or you are ready to consider them. Rats really do make great pets. They don't need long walks like dogs, they don't have to have vaccinations, and have a lot more personality then some of the other pocket pets. Rats generally have about a 2 year lifespan, and are truly loving and affectionate creatures. A well socialized rat makes a great friend. Our Mission Statement:
